What is angina?
Angina is a temporary oxygen deficiency caused by a lack of oxygen sent to the heart muscle, which causes symptoms such as chest pain and shortness of breath. It is caused by an imbalance between the supply and demand of oxygen that the heart needs. In other words, symptoms of angina occur when the amount of oxygen required by the heart increases (increased demand) and when the amount of oxygen sent to the heart decreases due to decreased blood flow (decreased supply). It is a mechanism.
