Physical distancing and social solidarity: sponsor families and save lives in this coronavirus outbreak

COVID19 is now spreading in Rabat where families of douar ouled dlim (guich loudaya) and their children are living in makeshift camps and with no resources. Due to patriarchal laws discriminating against women in their access to land, inhabitants of douar ouled dlim were displaced from their land on February 2014 without fair compensation. From that time, they have been struggling for their right to be rehoused. 

 At the heart of Hay Ryad, one of the richest neighbourhood in Rabat, the inhabitants of douar ouled dlim have been living for the past six years on the streets and mainly depending on daily wages. COVID19 lockdown drastically affects the incomes of these families. Today, they are calling upon your solidarity.

It is in this context that the team of the documentary "Landless Moroccans" is launching the "Homeless but not alone" campaign to help these 19 families during this global pandemic. The idea is simple, ensure a minimum income that enables them to survive during these two months of confinement.

To guarantee this minimum income we have to collect the amount of 3400 euros. Therefore, we invite you to sponsor a family or to donate to this solidarity campaign. There are no small participations, every euro counts. 

PS: The money will be paid upon receipt which will then be sent by email to each donor.

En plein état d’urgence sanitaire, les habitant.e.s du douar oued dlim (guich loudaya) à Rabat se retrouvent sans ressources. Du fait d’anciennes lois patriarcales discriminant les femmes dans leurs accès à la terre, ces habitant.e.s ont été expulsé.e.s sans indemnisation. Depuis février 2014, ils/elles luttent sans relâche pour avoir droit à un relogement.

Vivant à la rue, en plein Hay Riad, ces habitant.e.s n’ont aucune ressource stable. Vivant de débrouillardise, l’état de confinement les a privé de leurs maigres ressources. Aujourd’hui aux abois, ils/elles font appel à la solidarité.

Répondant à leur demande, l’équipe du film Landless Moroccans lance la campagne « Sans toit mais pas sans toi » pour aider ces 19 familles durant la pandémie. L’idée est simple, leur assurer un revenu minimum qui leur permette de survivre durant ces deux mois de confinement.

Pour leur assurer ce revenu minimum nous avons besoin de récolter la somme de 3400 euros. Nous vous invitons donc à parrainer une famille ou à participer à la cagnotte. Il n’y a pas de petite participation, chaque euro compte.

في ظلّ حالة الطوارئ التي يشهدها المغرب، تفتقد ساكنة ولاد الدليم، گيش لوداية، في الرباط الموارد المستقرّة التي تحتاج لها اليوم أكثر من أي وقتٍ مضى، وذلك بسبب القوانين  الذكورية التمييزية ضدّ المرأة، والتي تحرمها من حقّها في الأرض. هذه الساكنة التي ناضلت بدون كللٍ أو مللٍ منذ طردها بدون تعويض، في شباط 2014، من أجل حقّها في إعادة إسكانها.

وفي هذه الأثناء، يعيش أهالي ساكنة دوار ولاد الديليم في الشارع، بحيّ الرياض، باحثين عن قوتهم اليوميّ بعدما وجدوا أنفسهم في ظلّ حالة الحظر الحالية دون أبسط الموارد التي كانوا يعتمدون عليها. واليوم، توجّه ساكنة دوار ولاد الديليمم نداءً للتضامن المجتمعي. 

استجابةً لهذا النداء،  أطلق طاقم فيلم “واش حنا مغاربة؟” مبادرةً تحت شعار "بقا في دارك وما تنساش اللي بلاش"، لمساعدة 19 أسرةً من ساكنة دوار الدليم، خلال فترة الوباء، وسعياً لتوفير الحدّ الأدنى من الدخل الذي يسمح لهم بالعيش والبقاء خلال فترة الحظر الصحي. دخلٌ يعدّ حقّاً مسلوباً منهم. 

ولذلك، ندعوكم/ن لتلبية هذا النداء والمساهمة معنا في جمع المبلغ الإجمالي، والذي تبلغ قيمته الإجمالية 3400 يورو. يُمكنكم المساعدة من خلال إعالة عائلةٍ، أو التبرّع بأيّ مبلغٍ مهما كان بسيطاً. فكلّ مساهمةٍ تصنع فارقاً كبيراً.
